"For one human being to love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation."
--Rainer Maria Rilke
Could you forward this to men who may be looking for more fulfilling intimacy, and could you consider attending yourself?
In this fun, practical support group that will meet twice monthly, you'll explore with other men:
* What kinds of intimacy you want;
* Your intimacy challenges;
* Your intimacy strengths & skills;
* Practical steps you can take to give & receive the intimacy you want;
* Asking for & accepting the support you need to sustain real change.
This on-going workshop, which begins next Thursday, 9/21, 7-9 pm, is not about experts telling us the answers. It is about us supporting one another to find the intimacy visions and strategies that work for each of us. And most of all it's about figuring out what you can do differently in the real world to get more of the intimacy you want - and get the support to follow through.
CO-FACILITATORS: Alejandro Cantu, 5l, has been a teacher of multi-cultural students for more than 20 years, was in a long-term relationship and is now returning to dating; Wayne Bund, 25, is a teacher of multi-cultural students, has been in several relationships, and has recently moved back to Portland as a single man; Bart Church, 46, has been in several primary relationships, but has viewed his close friendship network as his primary source of intimacy for most of his adult life and supports men valuing their friendship networks.
